New Year Soup

Soup

  1. Prepare veg:
    1. Slice an onion into rings.
    2. Mince 3 cloves of garlic.
    3. Cut a small carrot into fine sticks.
  2. Dissolve a beef marrow stock cube in a saucepan of water.
  3. Add rice cake slices to the stock.
  4. Add ~6 frozen dumplings to the soup.
  5. Add onions, garlic and carrots to the soup.
  6. Season with soy sauce, fish sauce, salt & pepper.
  7. Crack an egg into the soup and mix.
  8. Top with seaweed, egg garnish and sesame seeds/oil. Serve with kimchi.

Egg garnish

  1. Separate 1 egg.
  2. Fry the yolk and white separately. Leave to cool.
  3. Slice both into thin strips.
