떡국 (New Year Soup)

Soup
- Prepare veg:
- Slice an onion into rings.
- Mince 3 cloves of garlic.
- Cut a small carrot into fine sticks.
- Dissolve a beef marrow stock cube in a saucepan of water.
- Add rice cake slices to the stock.
- Add ~6 frozen dumplings to the soup.
- Add onions, garlic and carrots to the soup.
- Season with soy sauce, fish sauce, salt & pepper.
- Crack an egg into the soup and mix.
- Top with seaweed, egg garnish and sesame seeds/oil. Serve with kimchi.
Egg garnish
- Separate 1 egg.
- Fry the yolk and white separately. Leave to cool.
- Slice both into thin strips.
